About Us

Since 1800, Hardins Chapel Church has been a community staple of Christian ministry within Greeneville, Tennessee.  Many know the great English revivalist preacher, John Wesley, who with his brother Charles, started Methodism (meaning means and methods of practicing a real relationship with Christ).  There was great Holy Spirit revivals taking place throughout the mid 1700's from England, and into the United States.  From these great revivals, the original Methodist churches were started.  Circuit preachers were sent to America and new churches were started.  Hardins Chapel Church is an original Methodist churche that started the work of Christ in Greene County, Tennessee.

Today, over 220 years later, Hardins Chapel Church is beginning a new chapter of growth within our community.  As Independent Methodists, we are a Christ-centered, Bible-based church who values family and reaching our world with the powerful message of faith, hope, love, and grace of God.  We are relaunching as a new church starting within the existing rich history.
